Where to eat in Yaiza

Heading towards Yaiza, only a short drive from Villa Roma, you will soon see the beautiful saltworks Salinas de Janubio on your left, right before a long black volcanic beach, in immaculate virgin surroundings. There you will find right off the road, the restaurant Mirador de las Salinas, a very professionally run establishment in an absolutely unique setting with fine food based on local products, from the land and sea. Don’t miss their fish and rice specialities!

Our fauvorite restaurant in the village of Yaiza is La Bodega de Santiago, at the end of the village on the way to Timanfaya National Park. It is a traditional Lanzarote finca with a beautiful terrace shaded by the branches of an immense ficus tree, offering beautiful views to the west over the village, the lava fields, the mountains of fire and the sea right where the sun sets on the horizon. Fine food prioritising local products, with meat, vegetables, cheeses and fish. Truly recommendable!
